Trial: Almonds in Chico

This trial assessed the effectiveness of NanoCrop, MacroMag, and MicroPro products in Almond cultivation.

Treatment Overview

  • NanoCrop Application Ratio: NanoCrop was used as a surfactant at a 1% dilution rate, with the farmer opting for a higher rate to obtain greater biostimulant effects.

  • Micronutrients Usage: For this study, MicroPro was applied at 64oz per acre and MacroMag at 32oz per acre.

Study Highlights

  • Massive Increase in Nutrient Levels: After two applications of our nutrient program, average Iron levels rose by 248%, and Manganese increased by 234% compared to the farmer’s standard program.

  • Supercharged Zinc Uptake: MicroPro showed significant increases in Zinc levels despite being notoriously hard to uptake in the area. The test plot treated with MicroPro showed an 84% increase in Zinc over the farmer’s standard plot.

The SAP analysis comparing MicroPro-treated plots to the farmer’s standard nutrition program shows significant improvements in Iron, Manganese, and Zinc levels. Notably, Zinc uptake, which is challenging in the Chico area, increased by 84% in MicroPro-treated plots.

Brix Levels

ColloidalSea's Effectiveness

ColloidalSea was applied to enhance Brix levels in almond trees. The test plot received an initial application of 1 gallon per acre, followed by a second application of 2 quarts per acre. This treatment led to a significant 33% increase in Brix levels compared to the farmer’s standard plot.

Unlocking Nutrients

NanoCrop as a Chelator

NanoCrop's superior chelation capability effectively releases nutrients trapped in the soil, making them available for plant uptake. In this study, NanoCrop successfully released bound Magnesium and Calcium, resulting in increased levels in almond trees without the need for additional materials in the tank mix.

NanoCrop's Performance

In this trial, NanoCrop was applied to the test plot at an initial rate of 1 gallon per acre, followed by a second application of 2 quarts per acre. Compared to the farmer’s standard program, NanoCrop increased Magnesium levels by 11.79% and Calcium levels by 12.72%.

Study Conclusions

This study shows the incredible potential of using NanoCrop, MicroPro, and ColloidalSea in almond cultivation. These products help increase overall plant vitality and nutrient uptake leading to a bigger yield at harvest time.
