NANOCROP DOCUMENTATION

Optimized for Commercial Agriculture

NanoCrop is a multifaced, powerful tool for commercial organic and conventional farmers. Powered by PureCrop Nanotech, we have NanoCrop, which is optimized for commercial agriculture. NanoCrop is an insecticide, fungicide, and surfactant. Although its active ingredients are corn and soybean oil, NanoCrop is not oil; it’s a clever rearrangement of the colloidal micelles and their electrical charge. Bringing you a unique technology and unique mode of action with a wide variety of benefits.

Our proprietary formula features colloidal micelles measuring between 1-4 nanometers, which handle all the work. Unlike oils that suffocate sap-sucking pests, our micelles target the bacteria in their gut. The micelles penetrate the insect's cellular wall, disrupting their enzymes and effectively neutralizing the pest. Beneficial insects remain unharmed due to the different enzymes present in their gut.

NanoCrop combats mold and mildew by membrane disruption. The micelles in the formula weaken the mold and mildew cells by causing a leaky cell, ultimately desiccating the membrane. NanoCrop also attaches to the anchor spots to prevent regrowth for up to 10 days.

NanoCrop can also be used to maximize tank mixes at low dilution rates. Whether you are looking to enhance products in the tank, or increase herbicide penetration, NanoCrop is your go-to tank mix. Due to its particle size, NanoCrop can nano-emulsify products and deliver them more efficiently.

    Frequently asked questions

All statements are based on the use of NanoCrop as a standalone product, without consideration of its interaction with other products.

What is unique about the NanoCrop formula?

NanoCrop’s base molecule is a colloidal micelle. Derived from vegetable-based fatty acids in corn and soybean oil, these sphere-like molecules feature hydrophilic heads on the outside and hydrophobic tails on the inside. The positive charge on the outside causes these micelles to repel each other, ensuring the product remains in suspension when mixed with water. NanoCrop has a shelf life of five years and within five years, the product does not fall out of suspension.

What is the advantage of using nanotechnology?

The colloidal micelle particles in NanoCrop are on the nano-scale, meaning they are 1 billionth of a meter in size, smaller than a DNA strand. One ounce of NanoCrop contains billions of colloidal micelles. This nanotechnology allows NanoCrop to deliver powerful results in small quantities.

    NanoCrop vs. Crop Oils

NanoCrop offers farmers an alternative to traditional crop oils. Unlike oils, which can stunt plant growth, eliminate beneficial insects, and cause phytotoxicity, NanoCrop provides similar results without these drawbacks. Farmers looking to avoid these issues may find NanoCrop to be a beneficial substitute.

Can I mix NanoCrop with other products?

NanoCrop is compatible with most other products, jar test is always recommended before spraying.

    How often can I spray?

For maximum results, we recommend spraying NanoCrop every 14-21 days for prevention.

    Is NanoCrop a fertilizer?

No, Nanocrop is not a fertilizer but is compatible to mix with most fertilizers.

Do I need special equipment to use NanoCrop?

No, conventional spray systems including electrostatic equipment work perfectly. There are, however, recommended application rates per acre for row crops to achieve efficacy. Refer to our label for more information.

Is NanoCrop and PureCrop1 the same?

No, while both products are powered by our base proprietary PureCrop NanoTech solution, NanoCrop (released in 2022) is the latest breakthrough from our lab, optimized especially for commercial farmers.

In 2022 the PureCrop1 brand was acquired by West Coast Ag Products and was rebranded as simply “PureCrop”. You can read about the details in the press release.

    What's in the package?

    Liquid concentrate.

    • Weight per gallon: 8.6-lbs
    • Total Tote Weight: 2,605-lbs
    • Pallet of 2.5-gallon bottles has a total of 36 cases equalling 72 individual bottles weighing a total of 1,660-lbs.

You have corn and soybean oil as active ingredients, does it work like other oils?

No, unlike oil NanoCrop uses the fatty acid molecules that make up corn and soybean oil to manufacture our product. Visit the blog to learn more.

When is the best time to spray?

The best time for any foliar application is in the early morning or early evening when temperature is low and humidity is higher, giving more time for the plants to absorb the product. NanoCrop can be sprayed in direct sunlight if necessary without concern for phytotoxicity due to the huge surface area to mass ratio.

How close to harvest can I use NanoCrop?

With zero REI and zero PHI, NanoCrop can be used up to the day of harvest.

Is NanoCrop only good for foliar application?

Nope! There are many benefits to adding NanoCrop to the root zone, including increased resistance to soil pathogens, and it can offer many benefits to combat soil pests.

    Suggested Use?

    • Mixing: Fill a container with fresh, clean water. Add NanoCrop concentrate last in the tank.
    • General Dilution Rates: Pest/Mold/Mildew Control: Use a 1%–2% solution every 10-12 days. When pressures rise, increase the frequency and ratio to 2%.
    • Use as your dormant spray at 2 quarts per 100 gallons as a standalone or 1 gallon per 100 gallons with other products.
    • Root Zone: .50% v/v Every watering.
    • Replace crop oils: .50%- .075% v/v
    • Surfactant: 1pint to 2 quarts per 100 gallons
    • The more prolonged NanoCrop is on the plant, the higher the efficacy rate. Accordingly, we suggest spraying either early morning or late afternoon as the formula quickly dries when sprayed in direct sunlight or heat.
    • If rain is forecast, apply a foliar spray to your plants at least two hours before rainfall to protect them from pests, mold, or mildew and reduce yield loss. Rainfast within two hours, NanoCrop defends the integrity of your crop through the storm.
    • Please reach out to our sales reps for guidance on dilution rates and mixing instructions.

Is NanoCrop Approved for Organic Farms?

Yes, NanoCrop is approved for organic farms. If you need additional documentation for approval from organic certifier please contact Shelby Hale at shale@wca.farm

    Temperature Guidelines

When used as directed and as a standalone product, NanoCrop can be safely sprayed in temperatures up to 90 degrees without causing phytotoxicity. If temperatures are expected to rise above 90 degrees, allow for at least 2 hours before the temperature exceeds 100 degrees to ensure the plant fully absorbs the product.
